Weed Control Fabrics & Pegs

Weed control fabrics are lightweight materials, which can be placed on top of the soil to prevent any weeds coming through to the surface. Feltex has excellent permeability and will prolong the life of products such as Woodchips and Playbark. Advantex is a more robust weed control fabric and is intended for ground stabilisation making it the perfect choice for driveways and roadways.

• Weed Control Fabrics are the most effective way to suppress weeds as they exclude light from making any contact with the soil.
• Although the fabrics provides such an effective light barrier they are also enormously permeable, allowing water to still be absorbed quickly into the soil.
• Although our Weed Control Fabrics are lightweight they are also incredibly strong and highly resistant to rotting.

• Using Weed Control Fabrics will prolong the life of products such as woodchips and Playbark.

Feltex
This 50gsm black spun-bonded fabric gives very effective weed suppression for many applications. Feltex is easy to cut with a knife or scissors and will not fray. Feltex allows plants to thrive by letting water, air and nutrients through to the soil. Weed control is achieved as Feltex blocks out the light that weeds need to grow

Advantex Geotextile
This versatile, tough geotextile stabilises the ground by acting as a separator between aggregate and soil layers. The non-woven fibres of Advantex are thermally bonded together giving superior performance below ground. Preventing sinking and rutting, as well as improving filtration and drainage makes Advantex ideal for areas of vehicle use.

Fabric Pegs

Installation Instructions

• Prepare the area to be covered removing any high spots & heavy weeds	• Unroll the fabric over the area that needs to be covered. The fabric can be laid out in strips, allowing approx.150mm overlap

• If there are existing plants, make an X shaped cut with scissors, fold back the fabric, drop over the plant and then refold the fabric back around the stem. This same cutting method should also be used for new planting	• Cover the fabric with desired material such as Shingle, Playbark, Woodchip or Decorative Aggregates
