Rootzones A Rootzone, as the name implies is a growing media in which new seed may be sewn or turf laid with the secure knowledge that growth will result in the minimum time. For this, it is important that the necessary ingredients for growth and drainage are present. Particularly in Sports areas this last element, drainage is most important. In order to ensure maximum playing usage a standard has been drawn by the USGA (U.S. Golf Association) which if followed, could result in year-round play under most conditions. This involves a drainage carpet of shingle overlaid with a blinding layer and then topped with a carefully specified Rootzone.
Moist Rootzone A 70/30 Sand & Loam moist mix screened to 10mm, complies with USGA specification. Available Loose only.
