Our Mission
Sporting Surface Supplies was formed in 1991 to bring high quality bulk supplies directly to the end-user with maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
As you may have guessed from our name, natural Sports Surfaces are very much the main core of our business. We manufacture and stock a wide range of specialized Top Dressings, Rootzones, Loams, Sands and Aggregates for Sports and Amenity use. We also produce an extensive range of Horticultural Goods, under our Hurstridge brand name that are available in both loose and bagged forms. Although our range of products expands each season, we stay true to our roots and are as passionate as ever about playing surfaces.
We may be the largest manufacturer of Top Dressings in the South of England but we remain, at heart a small and friendly company. We produce many thousands of tonnes of material each year but you can rest assured that our commitment to product quality and customer service never falters.
Through independent regular laboratory testing you can be confident that not only are the results unbiased, but the products themselves can be trusted entirely. We work hard all year round to source the finest quality raw materials available. Within our Top Dressings and Rootzones we only ever use the highest specification sands and we go to considerable lengths to ensure that our Loams are obtained from the very finest of sources.
After all, why should you spend your time shopping around for materials when we’ve already found the best?
Much More Than Just Sports Surfaces
For your convenience, we aim to continually introduce new items that complement our existing products. We are aware that now our customers' visions are stretching so far, so must our range of goods to accommodate them! During the past four years we have been delighted to expand our range to include Railway Sleepers, Landscaping Fabric, Rockery Stones, Primary Aggregates and a stunning array of Decorative Aggregates.
During the Summer of 2006 we were delighted to launch Garden Clever, an easy to use online shop for landscaping materials with nationwide delivery. This exciting development has made our products accessible to anyone in the United Kingdom.
