Tipper vehicles are
undoubtedly the most economical way to deliver larger loose loads. We
have an array of different vehicles to cover various sized loose deliveries.
The smallest tippers
that we employ carry a weight of 10 tonnes. Whilst they can carry
loads smaller than this the delivery charge for the entire vehicle remains
the same so the cost per tonne would increase.
All tipper loads sold by the tonne
are weighed out on our calibrated weighbridge at our Smallfield site.
A weighbridge ticket will always be sent to you with your delivery note.

The largest lorries
on which we can make deliveries are articulated vehicles. These
vehicles carry substantial loads of up to 29 tonnes in weight and up to
40m³of the lightweight materials such as Mulches and Woodchips. Inevitably articulated loads are the fastest and most economic way to
obtain large loose loads, but due to the considerable size of the vehicles
it is vital that they can gain access to the delivery destination easily.
VEHICLES WITH A GRAB
FACILITY
For loose loads that
are particularly demanding, we are able to bring in vehicles with a grab
facility. These vehicles combine the efficiency of tipper lorries with
the flexibility of crane mounted vehicles. This is an ideal delivery
method for situations where the vehicle itself may not be able to reach but
its grab arm could, such as over a hedge or wall.

We pack
all of our small bags onto non-returnable wooden pallets which are then
shrink wrapped. Usually the products are packed as 50 bags to each
pallet straight from the production line. However, we are able to make
up mixed pallets of different combinations of products, or remove bags if a
smaller quantity than 50 is required.
Many of
our Loams, Top Dressings and Growing Media are packed into strong plastic
sacks that are lined with black plastic to prevent germination inside.
For ease of use we ensure that all of our sacks are a practical size and
therefore easy to lift and handle.

Bulk Bags
provide an excellent, cost effective method of delivery for small loose
loads. The bags are constructed from a durable plasticized canvas
material with a loop on each corner for loading and unloading. The
bags hold up to 1 tonne in weight of the heavier materials such as Sands/Top
Dressings/Loams/Aggregates and up to 1m³ of the lightweight products which
are sold by volume such as Woodchips and Composts.
We offer
two different types of Bulk Bag:- Standard & Lined. The Lined bags
have a strong, black plastic liner which offers the materials inside
additional protection from the elements. The use of Lined Bulk Bags is
an excellent way to ensure that dried materials such as Loams and Top
Dressings stay dry and therefore easy to work with if you are unable to use
them right away.

VEHICLES WITH A CRANE FACILITY
All of
our own flat vehicles have lorry mounted cranes for fast and efficient unloading.
Delivery on these vehicles is quite flexible so this is an ideal method
where access may be difficult such as lifting over walls or fences and
placing the goods in confined spaces.

VEHICLES WITH A FORK LIFT FACILITY
In extreme circumstances of
difficult access we are able to utilise vehicles
which have a mobile forklift for unloading. This is most suitable for
deliveries where access is particularly demanding. For example,
locations with very narrow entrances or where the entire vehicle cannot
reach the actual delivery point but can park close by using the forklift as
a shuttle. Please note that the use of a vehicle with a forklift
facility may carry an additional charge.
